What is Atlassian’s new AI data policy?
Starting August 17, Atlassian will begin using eligible customer metadata and, depending on each organization’s plan and Data Contribution settings, in-app data to improve its AI-powered products and experiences, including Rovo.
Important
While administrators can control some of these settings, most Atlassian Cloud customers, including those on Premium plans, cannot fully opt out of contributing eligible data.
Using customer data to train AI can be a serious concern, especially when organizations cannot fully opt out. Organizations need to know how their data is used, and they need a real choice about whether it is used at all.
