WYSIWYG text editor
With OpenProject 8 the existing Textile text editor is replaced by a new “What you see is what you get” (WYSIWYG) editor. This text editor makes writing and editing texts easier, faster and less error-prone. It is much easier to format text (e.g. bold, italic, underline), add images, tables and inline code. Additionally, you can add macros (e.g. table of content, embed work package tables) directly from the text editor.
The new text editor replaces all occurrences of the old textile-based editor, e.g. for work package descriptions, wiki pages, meetings, news and forums.
Technically, the new editor is powered by the open source text editor CKSource CKEditor 5 which is based on Markdown. To get the maximum out of the text editor, take a look at the text formatting help.
