Manage work package categories
You can create multiple project specific work package categories and assign them to a responsible project member. Even if this member will not be assigned a certain work package, as the assignee for the respective category he or she will be notified of the work package creation and changes.
To create a new work package category navigate to Project Settings and select the Work Package Categories tab. Select New category icon. You will be able to add the category name and select an assignee from the list of the project members.
The assignee will be notified when a new work package is created in this category or the category is changed for an existing work package.
To edit or delete a work package category navigate to Project Settings and select the Work Package Categories tab. You will see the list of the existing categories. Select the corresponding icon next to the category you want to delete or edit.
Note: if you want to delete a category that one or more work packages have already been assigned to, you will receive a warning and will be able to remove the assignment first.
